Big City Blues compiles early Howlin' Wolf recordings originally cut for RPM and Chess in the early 1950s, released here on London's Ember Records in 1966. This is the UK stereo pressing (STEMB 3370), one of two concurrent Ember editions. It includes "Moaning At Midnight" -- his 1951 debut single, mislabelled on both label and sleeve as "Morning At Midnight" -- alongside "Riding In The Moonlight" and "Dog Me Around".
