Jesse Fuller was a San Francisco-based one-man-band who played guitar, harmonica, kazoo, and his self-invented fotdella bass simultaneously. The Lone Cat was originally released on Good Time Jazz in 1961, recorded in Los Angeles in 1958 and produced by Lester Koenig. This 1992 Original Blues Classics reissue includes the 1990 digital remaster. "Beat It On Down The Line" later became a staple of the San Francisco rock scene.
