Judy Mowatt's "Black Woman" was released ahead of her 1979 debut album of the same name on Grove Music, co-produced by Mowatt and Geoffrey Chung. The A-side became one of the defining vocal performances of roots reggae, delivered with a directness that defined her solo work outside I-Threes. Joy Tulloch's "Black Beauty" rounds out the flip. UK original 7" pressing on Grove Music.
