Huddie "Leadbelly" Ledbetter recorded these sessions in the 1940s, capturing his 12-string guitar work across country blues and folk standards including "The Bourgeois Blues" and "Gallis Pole." This is a 1978 US reissue on Everest's Archive Of Folk & Jazz Music imprint, pressed from mono originals converted to simulated stereo. "Gallis Pole" was later covered by Led Zeppelin as "Gallows Pole" on Led Zeppelin III.
