Leo Parker was a baritone saxophonist whose 1961 Blue Note sessions produced this hard bop set, recorded at Van Gelder Studio in Englewood Cliffs and produced by Alfred Lion. This 2009 European reissue CD, remastered with Michael Cuscuna as reissue producer, collects both October 1961 dates. Parker's deep, driving baritone leads across eight tracks including "Talkin' The Blues" and the title cut.
