Linda Jones' debut single, released on Blue Cat Records in 1966 -- a subsidiary of Bang Records. Written and produced by Gerald Harris with arrangements by Robert Banks, "Fugitive From Love" showcases Jones' raw, church-rooted vocal style ahead of her later work for Loma and Neptune. The B-side "You Hit Me Like T.N.T." is written by George Kerr. A promo copy of a scarce early soul 45.
