Madness debut single on Two-Tone, released 1979. "The Prince" is a tribute to Prince Buster, the Jamaican ska pioneer who inspired the band. The B-side, "Madness", takes its title and theme directly from Buster's 1963 track. This UK original features silver injection-moulded labels with gripper ring and lists 2 Tone Records as copyright holder -- an earlier variant than the Chrysalis-credited pressing.
