Memphis Slim's self-titled LP was recorded on 14 July 1960 and released the same December on the UK Collector Records label (JGN 1004), making this a first pressing. Slim's rolling boogie-blues piano and vocals anchor eleven tracks, including "Memphis Slim U.S.A.", "Whisky And Gin", and "Chicago Stop" -- a solid cross-section of his Chicago blues style at its most direct.
