Nefertiti is a 1968 studio album by Miles Davis, recorded with his second great quintet -- Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, and Tony Williams. This 2009 Music On Vinyl reissue is pressed on 180g wax, remastered by Allan Tucker at Tucker Sound, New York. The title track features Shorter's melody repeated by Davis and Shorter while the rhythm section improvises beneath them -- an unusual reversal of standard jazz roles.
