Neil Ardley's 1972 UK original on Regal Zonophone, produced by Denis Preston with Arts Council funding. A suite for large jazz ensemble dedicated to Duke Ellington and Gil Evans, with texts by W.B. Yeats and Edward Lear informing the second side. Modal in approach, with Ardley writing for an extended orchestra across two long-form pieces.
