Product Review:
US Original in great shape. Clear plastic Warner OIS. A couple of light surface marks do not affect play.

Controversy is Prince's fourth studio album, released October 1981 on Warner Bros. Records. Entirely self-produced and arranged, it pushed further into the Minneapolis Sound he'd been developing since For You. This is an original US pressing from Specialty Records Corporation, identifiable by the "SP" runout etch and "EAST" embossed around the centre hole on side B. The title track and "Do Me, Baby" are standouts.

What's in the box?

  • Your tunes

  • pro-cleaned

  • with a new inner sleeve

  • and a new outer sleeve

Expert, honest grading

Used records and CDs are graded when we catalogue them for sale and again before they are sent out. So they should reach you in the condition you expect.

Every used record and CD pro-cleaned

We clean our used vinyl records using a VPI vacuum cleaner. More expensive records are also cleaned ultrasonically. CDs are cleaned gently by hand.

Re-sleeving

We place each used record in a brand new paper or anti-static audiophile inner sleeve. We then place the record and sleeve (separately) into a brand new outer sleeve. Ready to be enjoyed!
