Product Review:
Nice copy! Sleeve has evidence of previous tape along opening edges.

The Birth Of A Band! is Quincy Jones's 1959 debut album as a bandleader, recorded for Mercury and featuring arrangements by Jones alongside Al Cohn, Melba Liston, and Nat Pierce. This is a first UK pressing on Mercury MMC 14038, manufactured by EMI at Hayes. The set includes big band readings of Benny Golson's "Whisper Not" and "I Remember Clifford," plus Bobby Timmons's "Moanin'."

What's in the box?

  • Your tunes

  • pro-cleaned

  • with a new inner sleeve

  • and a new outer sleeve

Expert, honest grading

Used records and CDs are graded when we catalogue them for sale and again before they are sent out. So they should reach you in the condition you expect.

Every used record and CD pro-cleaned

We clean our used vinyl records using a VPI vacuum cleaner. More expensive records are also cleaned ultrasonically. CDs are cleaned gently by hand.

Re-sleeving

We place each used record in a brand new paper or anti-static audiophile inner sleeve. We then place the record and sleeve (separately) into a brand new outer sleeve. Ready to be enjoyed!
