Fever was originally released in 1979 on Polydor, recorded during Roy Ayers' peak run as a funk and soul bandleader. This is the 1987 UK reissue on Urban Records. The title track "Fever" is a driving disco-funk cut, and "Love Will Bring Us Back Together" became one of his most recognised songs, later sampled widely in hip-hop.
