Super Cat's "Mud Up" dates to 1987, recorded during his early dancehall peak before his VP/Columbia era. This 2002 Wild Apache reissue (WAPACHE-037) brings the original back on 7", produced by William Maragh. The B-side is a Money D hip hop reggae dub mix. Super Cat went on to become one of the most influential figures in the dancehall-to-hip-hop crossover of the early 1990s.
