Consummation is a 1970 big band album by the Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Orchestra, recorded across four January and May sessions and released on Blue Note. This 2002 EU reissue, produced for reissue by Michael Cuscuna, brings the full orchestra recordings back into print. Jones's "A Child Is Born" became a jazz standard, and "Fingers" runs over ten minutes as the set's centrepiece.
