Thad Jones' debut as a leader, recorded at Van Gelder Studio in July 1956 and originally issued on Blue Note BLP 1527. This 1987 CD reissue adds two tracks absent from the LP: "I've Got A Crush On You" and a duet with Kenny Burrell, "Something To Remember You By." Jones is joined by Barry Harris, Percy Heath, and Art Taylor across six hard bop originals and standards.
