The Ad Libs were a New Jersey vocal group who recorded for Blue Cat and Share Records in the mid-to-late 1960s. "Giving Up" was produced and written by Van McCoy and originally issued on Share Records in the US. This is the original 1969 UK pressing on Deep Soul, a subsidiary of Soul City Records, distributed out of London's Monmouth Street.
