The Gold Experience is the seventeenth studio album by Prince, released September 1995 on NPG/Warner Bros. during his public dispute with the label -- the period in which he performed and appeared with "SLAVE" written on his face. "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World" had already charted as a standalone single in 1994. The album runs from funk workouts to ballads, closing with the nine-minute "Gold".
