Chico Hamilton's quintet -- featuring Buddy Collette and Fred Katz -- recorded live at the Strollers Club, Long Beach, in August 1955. This UK Vogue pressing of the Pacific Jazz EP carries two tracks: the bluesy "Walking Carson Blues" and the uptempo "Spectacular," produced by Richard Bock. A rare 7" snapshot of Hamilton's early West Coast chamber jazz period.
