The De Vons were a vocal group recording for King Records in the late 1960s under James Brown's production. This 1969 US promo 45 features the same track on both sides -- standard practice for radio copies of the era. Written by Eddie M. Gray, "Someone To Treat Me" is a tight Southern soul ballad carrying the hallmarks of Brown's King productions from that period.
