"Rivers of Babylon" by The Melodians was recorded in 1969 and produced by Leslie Kong for his Beverley's label. Drawing on Psalms 19 and 137, it became one of reggae's most recognised songs -- later a global hit for Boney M in 1978. This 1970 UK Summit pressing (SUM-8508) pairs the vocal cut with the instrumental Babylon Version on the flip.
