Steamin' With The Miles Davis Quintet was originally recorded in 1956 at Van Gelder Studio and released on Prestige. This 1996 Analogue Productions remaster was issued as part of the Great Quintet box set (APJ-035), pressed at 33 RPM in mono. The classic first Miles Davis Quintet lineup -- Davis, Coltrane, Red Garland, Paul Chambers, and Philly Joe Jones -- plays standards including Surrey With The Fringe On Top and Well You Needn't.
