City In The Sky is the final studio album the Staple Singers released on Stax, produced by Al Bell and issued in 1974 on STS-5515. It arrived as Stax entered its final difficult years, with the group at the commercial peak that followed "I'll Take You There." The title track and "Washington We're Watching You" carry the gospel-rooted social commentary the group built their reputation on. This is an original US pressing with silver foil cover.
