Recorded at Van Gelder Studio on 2 March 1961 and produced by Alfred Lion, The Waiting Game captures hard bop tenor saxophonist Tina Brooks in a session that Blue Note held back for decades. This 2002 limited edition CD reissue, produced for release by Michael Cuscuna, marks one of the few times this material has been officially available. Includes the brooding title track and a reading of "Stranger In Paradise."
