Ghetto Defendant Vol. 1 is a 2004 UK unofficial re-edit 12" on the Ghetto Defendant label, collecting three extended edits across two sides. Side A features re-edits of Gil Scott-Heron's "Home Is Where The Hatred Is" and a track titled "The Real Thing"; Side B carries a re-edit of "Keep On Singing." Re-edit 12"s like this were common in early-2000s UK DJ culture, stretching out jazz-funk and soul cuts for dancefloor use.
